‘Maxx’ is an extremely modified version of the default yget template. Some of the features include:

• member feeds page (manually updated)
• thumbshots provided by “Artviper”, no watermarks like websnapr
• categories in header, with builtin suckerfish menu for sub-categories
• adsense already placed, I have also made sure that the adsense in the sidebar does not appear anywhere that will violate Google’s TOS, thanks to a reminder by one of my readers

Once you are sent the download, extract, upload menu.php and mrss.php to your Pligg root. The templates folder obviously goes to your template folder.

I have done a lot of testing and haven’t found any issues, however, if you come across an issue, please post it below and I will fix ASAP.

It comes Adsense ready, with 1 vertical 120×240 ad in the sidebar and 2 468×60 banners on the upcoming and published pages, the story page has 1 468×60 banner on it.

I also decided to use Art Viper for the thumbs instead of websnapr as I didn’t like the watermark websnapr used.

I removed the story tabs as well, each story now has the “comment”, “who Voted” and “related” tabs shown below each story post.

I add a new page that shows member RSS feeds. Currently it is setup to show the feeds of the top 25 members. At this time, you will need to manually edit this page and feeds each time you want to add or remove a feed, but its a great feature to get people posting. I am also working on a way to show a rotating bar on the main page that will show one RSS feed at a time, from the list of member RSS feeds.
