First came Digg, many websites enjoyed and enjoy the barage of traffic that Digg can bring, but unless you are a Digg elite member, getting your website or blog post to the front page is almost impossible unless you do a never before seen post.
Digg’s submission process hasn’t gotten easier over time, more cumbersome if you ask me, with a list of duplicate listings that most times have nothing to do with what you are submitting.
I did a test on one of my new post, and here are the screen shots of me submitting it:
then I got to the infamous duplicate submission screen:
Interesting how none of the stories it showed me had anything to do with the title, subject or even any words in the description.
Digg needs to fix this as it gets quite annoying.
Many Digg members have given up on Digg due to its algorithim.
Then came Mixx. At first site it’s just another Digg, users submit int he hope they get traffic. Its kind of early for me to tell if they have an elite group of members that control the front page like Digg, but there submission process is a heck of a lot simpler than Digg’s. I have yet to see it show me a list of false duplicate submissions.
I didn’t show the Mixx submission because it was a smooth submission with no issues, just try it yourself by submitting this post and you will see what I mean.
It takes no time at all to submit to Mixx and it has become my new Digg.

I read similar article also named ixx be the next Digg? | Pliggs, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
