yeah I am also want 404 page very useful , because some hosting provider used 404 page as for banner advertising like Hostgator

Not exactely pligg related, but I notice that lots of sites do not have a custom 404 page! I dont know how they can ignore it – especially sites with products/pages which are regularely removed. As a customer that would put me off clicking any of their links ever again.

That definitely is a much better 404 Landing page! I think we should all take advantage of the 404 page and guide our users better, instead of the traditional page.
