My latest review of a Pligg powered website is Bharat Boom, niched installed which caters to Indian news.

Design (7/10): the design is definitely not your typical Pligg layout, its a 3 column layout, rounded corners, and a black background. I am not a fan of black backgrounds as this can make reading hard on the eyes (for me at least). Also, the site is extremely montized, perhaps over monetized.
There are far too many ads for my preference, I can live with the number of ads, but one thing i cannot live with is the popup ads and the full page ad that covers the content, these are definite turn-offs not only for me but for most people.
The ad in the header either partially hides behind the categories, or in some instances partially covered the categories, looks like an adjustment of the top margin will fix easily.
The ad in the footer is also out of alignment.
The use of inline text ads on this site are also extremely annoying as quite a few of the navigation buttons are turned into ads when you go to click on them:
Another ad that drives a lot of people crazy including me is the ad that appears on the “Live” page, its an auto play video ad, again a no-no for most people.
Content (9/10): there is no shortage of content, all of the content I scanned over related with the niche.
Navigation (7/10): no issues with the navigation either. I like the “User Menu” being placed in the sidebar. The use on inline text ads causes ads to appear when mousing over some navigation links.
Errors (7/10): there were no errors that impeded me from this website, aside from the ad errors listed above, the only other errors were the 250+ errors found by W3C which I would work on reducing.
Overall (7.5/10): I think this site has great content and appears to have a good member base, therefore, it could be very successful. However, the abundance of ads being used and the method in which some appear will definitely turn some people off, me included.
Once the issue with the ads is addressed, I would be happy to do a follow-up review.
The opinions expressed in this review are strictly that, opinions, they by no means are meant to discourage the owner but to hopefully point out things in a different view in the hopes of making the website that much better.
